Enrol on Venture 2015 – the VC Overseas Volunteering Preparation Programme and begin making your impact.
This part-time programme (one weekend per month over 4 months at VC HQ) is aimed at prospective Development Workers and Volunteers and offers an experience that will give the volunteer or development worker the confidence that he/she is fully prepared to work overseas.
90% of those who completed the programme felt that it would better help them adapt to their overseas working environment
82% of those who completed the programme felt that the training increased their understanding of the root causes of poverty and injustice in the world
As a volunteer sending organisation, we ensure that the course is facilitated by specialists who are highly skilled and experienced in their respective fields. The courses are participatory in nature and give the attendees the opportunity to connect and share ideas with both fellow participants and workers who have returned from the field. Upon completion of the Venture programme participants may apply to join the VC Volunteer Panel to be considered for overseas roles.
