Training & Online Courses

VC has delivered on-site training for over 65 years and now provides this same training to an international audience in a live interactive online format.  The Venture course is normally presented twice in a year in the Feb/March and Oct/Nov timeframe using a team of sector experts across a wide subject range from specific toolsets like project cycle management to broader subjects like globalisation and community development. All VC training is aimed at those individuals currently working in projects as well as prospective missionaries and volunteer development workers.

A further option Upskills is a downloadable course with a number of modules specifically aimed at providing skills to those working in the sector in need of support and knowlege.  This again is produced by sector experts and is aimed at providing low cost training to project teams in missionary/diocesan or community programmes. It also offers high quality training online – a suite of affordable and practical online courses with flexible learning options that can be downloaded as and when internet/wifi allows.

All our training incorporates a global citizenship perspective. This is a learning process that fosters an understanding of our interconnected world, equipping trainees with the knowledge, skills, and values to critique global challenges like injustice and inequality, and to take meaningful action for a more just and sustainable future

VC's training department also supports internal training and induction programmes  for staff and council members as well as continuos professional development.
