Internship Contract
Description
The intern will gain practical experience in an overseas development NGO and support a programme coordinator for its international projects. The intern will receive formal/informal training in the following; development and assessment of project grant proposals; monitoring and evaluation processes and procedures; progress reports from development workers in the field; results based management; child protection and policy reviews; training and development worker support as well as partner support. Depending on candidate the role could expand into recruitment and marketing areas. Develop and maintain relations with other key staff/ association members in the process. On completion the intern will have attained skills in a wide area relevant to the International Development sector.
Skills Requirements
Have solid verbal and written communications skills (excellent English with good attention to detail) Technical report writing skills a bonus. Knowledge of and interest in overseas development and social justice; enthusiasm and energy; ability to work on own initiative and team working skills.
Please Note: This is an Internship. An allowance of €50 per week will be paid in addition to your current Social Welfare payment. See eligibility criteria here.
